1. Policy Statement
Birds Hollow Productions Ltd, trading as 4theatre, is committed to providing a workplace that is free from bullying, harassment, and intimidation. Every employee and contractor has the right to work in an environment where they are treated with dignity and respect. Bullying of any kind will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

2. Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to:

* Outline the responsibilities of staff and management in preventing and addressing bullying.

3. Scope
This policy applies to:
* All employees, including full-time, part-time, temporary, and freelance staff.
* Contractors, interns, volunteers, and any third parties working on behalf of 4theatre.
* All work-related interactions, whether on-site, off-site, online, or during social or professional events.

4. Definition of Workplace Bullying
Workplace bullying is repeated, unreasonable behaviour directed toward a person or group that creates a risk to health and safety. It can be verbal, physical, psychological, or digital, and may include (but is not limited to):
* Verbal abuse, shouting, or swearing.
* Intimidation, threats, or humiliation.
* Deliberate isolation or exclusion.
* Spreading rumours or malicious gossip.
* Undermining someone’s work or professional reputation.
* Excessive or unfair criticism.
* Cyberbullying through emails, messages, or social media.

5. Responsibilities
Management and Supervisors
* Promote a respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
* Take all complaints of bullying seriously and respond promptly.
* Model appropriate behaviour.
* Ensure staff are aware of their rights and obligations under this policy.
Employees and Contractors
* Treat others with dignity and respect at all times.
* Refrain from engaging in or condoning bullying behaviour.
* Report any incidents of bullying that they experience or witness.
* Support colleagues who are affected by bullying.

6. Reporting Procedure
Anyone who believes they are experiencing or witnessing bullying should take the following steps:
Step 1: Informal Resolution (if safe)
Where appropriate, try to resolve the issue directly by informing the individual that their behaviour is unwelcome.
Step 2: Formal Complaint
If the issue is unresolved or the behaviour continues:
* Report the matter to a line manager, supervisor, or designated HR representative.
* Submit the complaint in writing, including dates, times, people involved, and a description of the incidents.
Step 3: Investigation
* All complaints will be investigated confidentially and impartially.
* Both the complainant and alleged individual will be given the opportunity to present their account.
* Appropriate action will be taken based on findings, which may include mediation, disciplinary measures, or termination in serious cases.

* All complaints will be handled with the utmost confidentiality.
* No employee will suffer reprisals or victimisation for raising a genuine concern or complaint.
* False or malicious allegations may lead to disciplinary action.
